As the sun begins to set and the work day comes to an end, many Myanmar residents head outside to exercise. One of the most popular sports to play is chinlone, where a woven cane ball is passed around a circle or over a net using any part of the body except the hands. Requiring limited space and only a ball, chinlone is easy to arrange and affordable. It is common to see groups of friends gathered in a circle passing the ball around or, in more rural areas, passing the ball across a net. Whilst most of the games are casual, social events there are real tournaments featuring team competitions. Introducing CHINLONE on sandbank of Irrawaddy River in Bagan is quite popular among the guests of The Mighty Myanmar Travel.
