Tour Summary

Start the tour in commercial capital of Myanmar which is popular with glittering Shwedagon Pagoda. Fly to Heho to visit the former British hill station with picturesque sceneries and cultural sites. A day trip to Green Hill Valley Elephant camp to see the life of mahouts with their families and local wine tasting at Red Mountain winery are the highlights of trip. Wander through Shwe Indein Pagoda Complex with thousands of ancient stupas as a great opportunity.

Upon landing at the Yangon International Airport our guide warmly welcomes you and bring you to the hotel in the city for check in.
Start our excursion with a visit to Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha, 66-meter-long Reclining Buddha image, The Scott Market, over 70 years old market has the largest selection of Burmese handicrafts under one roof. (Closed on every Monday and public holidays).
Start your colonial short walk at Sule Pagoda, an excellent landmark situated in the very centre of downtown Yangon, dating back British colonial era buildings City Hall, Immigration Office and High Court Building, then Mahabandoola Park for a good photo stop.
Our day will end with a visit to Botataung Pagoda, one of the few pagodas in Myanmar which allows visitors to step inside.
Overnight in Yangon.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport from where we will take a flight to Heho. From here, we will proceed to Kalaw by car (about 1-hour drive), a former British hill station and one the most popular town to go trekking on the western edge of the Shan plateau. On the way, we will see the beautiful Shan mountain range and many farms and villages.
Today excursion includes Nee Paya, this pagoda holds a gold lacquered bamboo Buddha, Photo stop at the Christ the King Church founded at 1931 by the Italian Priest. At the end of the day, we will enjoy excellent views of Kalaw, its market and the surrounding hills from Thein Taung Pagoda Monastery.
Overnight in Kalaw.
After breakfast start a day trip to the elephant’s home located in Magway (45-minute drive from Kalaw). Green Hill Valley elephant camp was founded in 2011 to protect the local environment and care for ageing and poorly elephants.
Upon arrival, Green Hill Valley Team will warmly welcome us and inform about project. As well as safety instruction will be given before interacting with elephants.
A Walk (5-7mins) to elephant village and we will see the life of mahouts with their families. After introducing the elephants and feeding them (daily prepared food), the team will lead us go to the river where elephant bath and we can join for washing elephants like our owned pet.
Riding is not the main focus. The team will let us be in touch with our elephants as Mahouts during the washing time. We will have opportunity to help in the forest recovery project. We are welcomed to join the team by planting one regional tree for forest recovery efforts. (GHV team will assist for planting program).
Lunch will be served at the main camp. From the main camp, we can visit to the recycle paper project from elephant poo, and further learning elephant study with Skeleton.
We may able to have more information about elephants and forest (from the speakers). Then, we may explore around the forest area, opportunity to see butterflies, birds and orchids in our conservation area, if we want to spend longer time in the nature. (by our owned exploration, if time permit).
End of the day, drive back to Kalaw.
Overnight in Kalaw.
After breakfast, Visit the Kalaw Myo Ma Market, a good place for watching hill tribe people and then travel onwards to Nyaung Shwe (around 1½ hour drive), a small town located at the northern end of Inle Lake. From there, take a boat to the hotel to check in. Take a rest at the hotel.
In the the late afternoon, we will visit Red Mountain Estate Vineyards which produces the best wines of the country.
We will observe the wine making process in this beautiful vineyard and have some wine tasting while enjoying the amazing sunset view overlooking Inle Lake and mountain. Transfer back to your hotel.
Overnight on Inle Lake
Breakfast at the hotel. We will set off a full day sightseeing in the Lake by Boat which is known for its unique one-leg rowers, traditional fishing method, floating gardens and villages on stilts.
We will visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda which hosts five gold-leaf-covered statues and have chance to explore local family workshops on the Lake. Depending on your interest and time permits, visit the (optional) traditional crafts workshops on the Inle Lake: Silk weaving, Gold & Silversmithing, Paper Making, Boat Making and Cheroot Making.
In the afternoon, take a canoe boat through the floating gardens. After then, we will escort you to hotel with lovely sunset upon the Lake.
Overnight on Inle Lake.
After breakfast, we will sail off to enjoy the morning Five-Day-Market on the lake. These bustling markets around Inle Lake are mostly of interest for the variety of different products offered, mainly grown on the floating gardens. The market rotates between different villages over five days.
Continue our journey to Indein village with its 1,094 stupas surrounding the main pagoda, the Shwe Indein Pagoda. Explore the area on foot through ancient pagodas, strolling around the village.
Overnight on Inle Lake.
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the Heho airport for our flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel in the city and check in.
In the afternoon, visit Kandawgyi Lake with spectacular photo opportunities of Karaweik Barge, the lake and the Shwedagon Pagoda. Continue to the Shwedagon Pagoda, the highlight of any trip to Yangon. The 2,600 years old Shwedagon Pagoda appears most beautiful during the early morning or evening, when we are able to enjoy this gilded sight in different colours. Enjoy the beautiful sunset over the pagoda.
Overnight in Yangon.
